Fish and Chips

This is not really a puzzle in the sense that you have to come up with an answer, but it still makes your brain get squishy and numb thinking about it.  If you haven't tried the Had Had Had puzzle on The Puzzle Page, you might want to take a look at that one when you get done here:


Wouldn't the sentence "I want to put a hyphen between the words Fish and and and and and Chips in my 'Fish and Chips' sign" have been clearer if quotation marks had been placed before Fish, and between Fish and and, and and and and, and and and and, and and and and, and and and and, and and and Chips, as well as after Chips?
