- Subject: Bruce Cockburn (pronounced CO-burn)

Bruce Cockburn, the famous Christian (depending on your definition...he's a BIT liberal theologically) folk-blues-jazz-classical-pop guitar virtuoso and songwriter (winner of multiple Juno awards, and writer and performer of such hit's as "Wondering Where the Lions Are" and If I had a Rocket Launcher") will be at Ludlow's, a bar in Columbus, OH on Wednesday, March 10. Bruce Cockburn is a huge influence of both Over the Rhine, and the Vigilantes of Love, as well as myself, and the last time I saw him live is tied for first place as my favorite concert of ALL-TIME. I CANNOT possibly explain how amazing this guy is! He's release at least 25 c.d.'s, and even played in one of the bands that played woodstock. His stuff is well-written, spiritual, and deals with both political and relational themes. Gee -- I don't know how to say it other than; If you live in Ohio, see this. You won't regret it. that's all, |
