Appendix: The Texts

WORLD LEADER PRETEND

I SIT AT MY TABLE AND WAGE WAR ON MYSELF
IT SEEMS LIKE ITS ALL FOR NOTHING.
I KNOW THE BARRICADES, AND
I KNOW THE MORTAR IN THE WALL BREAKS
I RECOGNIZE THE WEAPONS. IVE USED THEM WELL.
IVE A RICH UNDERSTANDING OF MY FINEST DEFENSES:
I PROCLAIM THAT CLAIMS ARE LEFT UNSTATED,
I DEMAND A REMATCH.
I DECREE A STALEMATE.
I DIVINE MY DEEPER MOTIVES.
I RECOGNIZE THE WEAPONS.
IVE PRACTICED THEM WELL, I FITTED THEM
MYSELF.
ITS AMAZING WHAT DEVICES YOU CAN SYMPATHIZE, EMPATHIZE.
THIS IS MY MISTAKE. LET ME MAKE IT GOOD.
I RAISED THE WALL AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO KNOCK IT DOWN.
REACH OUT FOR ME, HOLD ME TIGHT, HOLD THAT MEMORY.
LET MY MACHINE TALK TO ME, LET MY MACHINE TALK TO ME.

THIS IS MY WORLD, AND
I AM WORLD LEADER PRETEND.
THIS IS MY LIFE, AND
THIS IS MY TIME.
I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE FREEDOM TO DO AS I SEE FIT.
ITS HIGH TIME I RAZED THE WALLS THAT IVE
CONSTRUCTED.
ITS AMAZING WHAT DEVICES YOU CAN SYMPATHIZE, EMPATHIZE.
THIS IS MY MISTAKE. LET ME MAKE IT GOOD.
I RAISED THE WALL AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO KNOCK IT DOWN.
YOU FILL IN THE MORTAR.
YOU FILL IN THE HARMONY.
YOU FILL IN THE MORTAR.
YOU FILL IN THE HARMONY.
I RAISED THE WALL AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO KNOCK IT DOWN.

Harborcoat

They crowded up to Lenin with their noses worn off
A handshake is worthy if it`s all that you`ve got
Metal shivs on wood push through our back
There`s a splinter in your eye and it reads `react`

They shifted the statues for harboring ghosts
(Watch those harbor ghosts)
Reddened their necks, collared their clothes
(They might be real)
Then we danced the dance till the menace got out
(Friendly harbor ghosts)
She gathered the corners, called it her gown
(She went to tell her side)

She said:
Oh, please find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it
Find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it

They crowded up to Lenin with their noses worn off
(I finally got a letter that said she was dead)
A handshake is worthy if it`s all that you`ve got
(`You have done no wrong`)
Metal shivs on wood push through our back
(`Relatives all pass`)
There`s a splinter in your eye and it reads `react`: R - E - A - C - T
(`There will be a sight`)

Find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it
Find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it

They shifted the statues for harboring ghosts
(Watch those harbor ghosts)
Reddened their necks, collared their clothes
(`You have done no wrong`)
Then we danced the dance till the menace got out
(Friendly harbor ghosts)
She gathered the corners, called it her gown
(She went to tell her side)

Please, find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it
Please, find my harborcoat
Can`t go outside without it
