Rick was a Senior Software Validation Engineer with Enuclia Semiconductor.  Enuclia Semiconductor was a start-up developing exciting new technology in digital televisions.  Rick develops automated tests to ensure the customer is supplied with quality software. (Enuclia business card)
Rick was a Senior Software Engineer with Pixelworks.  Pixelworks develops chips for digital televisions and LCD projectors.  Rick developed software is used in evaluation boards and customer televisions.  Much of the software involved the handling of audio, the display of digital cable in the clear and areas customers needed assistance. Rick was a Senior Staff Software Engineer with Cypress Semiconductor.  Cypress Semiconductor is a manufacturer of FPGA's, clock circuits and USB components.  He currently the creation of tests and testing tools for software supporting communications integrated circuits.  He has also led the creation of kits to support the use of Cypress's semiconductors.

Rick was a Senior Software QA Engineer.  Rick led the testing effort for in circuit programming software, framer SDK and network search engine SDK.  He led the integration for software from different division onto a single CD, facilitate the creation and shipment of software development kits (SDK).  He also did testing on the WARP synthesis tools.

Rick was a Senior Software QA Engineer with FLIR Systems, Inc. (FSI).  FSI makes Infra-red equipment for preventive maintenance, search & rescue, news reporting, law enforcement and fire fighting.  Rick did testing, test automation, process improvement and some product development while he was there. Rick was a Software QA Engineer in the Color Printing & Imaging Division of Tektronix.  (The division is now part of Xerox.)  They make color printers for the work place.  While he was there, he did software validation, test automation and improvement of the testing process. Before becoming part of the SQA team at Tektronix, he was a Software Development Engineer.  He developed real time software for a printer which captured video signals and printed them. (Tektronix business card)
Rick was with Floating Point Systems.  We wrote built in self tests, a low level OS for a system of distributed processors and VAX device drivers.

He was with Sycor Inc. which became part of Northern Telecom Systems.  He wrote built in self tests for Sycor's office computers.

Rick has been a member of the West Beaverton, Tualatin Achievers and Daylighters clubs.  He has been a friend of the Timber Talkers club.  He has served as President, VP of Education, VP of Membership and VP of Publicity for the clubs he has belonged to. Sunset Division of the Timberline District (7) was a President's Distinguished Division the year he was Division Governor.  He has earned the Able Toastmaster Silver, Advanced Toastmaster Gold and Competent Leader Awards.

He is a past chairman of the Software Association of Oregon's QA SIG.  He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
