Do
you get discouraged inviting people who don't come? Ginger pointed
out that if we invite ten people, three will likely visit our club.
Of those, one or two will join.
We can increase the odds that they will come if we pick them up. It makes it hard to put off visiting "for just a week" if you are coming over to pick them up. It also means they will be walking in with you. They don't have to face a room full of people they don't know by themselves.
People need to hear something about three times before it sticks with them. So, just because you've mentioned Toastmasters to the them before, it doesn't mean you can mention it again. If they sound interested, invited them to the club meeting.
The clubs that are successful in building their membership are the clubs that have people to talk up Toastmasters were every they go. You never know when you will find some one who is interested. When you find someone who is interested, invited them to the club meeting.
