Networking Tips

1. Read the morning paper
1. Have something interesting & current to talk about
2. Always bring your business cards
3. Have a pen and name tag
4. Turn off cell phone - eat before or after networking
1. Cell phones & pages are interruptions
   
2. You can't eat and network
5. Know your 30 second commercial
6. Mingle - Don't talk too long
7. "Power" people tend to be in the corners
8. Write key words on the back of their business cards
9. Make contact within 24 hours of meeting them
