There were a few sea gulls looking for dropped food in the parking lot. We noticed a one legged sea gull standing on a car near us. We felt sorry for him, so we went back to the car. We didn't have any extra bread, but we pulled some bread off of one of our sandwiches and gave him some. We then walked down to the beach and enjoyed a pleasant walk.
The next day, we went back to the beach and parked in the same lot. We looked around and found the same one legged sea gull. This time, we had packed some extra bread for him. We tossed the bread near him. He ate the bread before flying off.
We decided to do some shopping. Maybe we would get a kite at one of the kite shops. In the second shop we looked in, we talked with the sales clerk. We asked if she had seen the one legged sea gull.
She replied, "he has two legs. He figured out that when he stands on one leg, people feed him."
