Future: Going to |
เราสามารถใช้ to be going to + v1 เมื่อพูดถึงเหตุการณ์ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตได้เหมือนกับ will + v1 แต่เรามักจะใช้ to be going to เพื่อทำนายสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นค่อนข้างแน่นอน เพราะมีการวางแผนไปแล้ว หรือมีสัญญาณให้เห็นว่าเหตุการณ์นั้นกำลังจะเกิดขึ้น เช่น
It's going to rain.
Mary is going to have a baby.
I'm going to write a letter to Jane this evening.
Going to is not a tense. It is a special structure to talk about the future. The structure is: BE + GOING TO + MAIN VERB. The verb BE is conjugated. The main verb is the infinitive without 'to'.

We use going to when we have the intention to do something before we speak. We have already made a decision before speaking. Look at these examples:
