About the Sts. Clement of Alexandria and Maximus the Confessor Home Page

This web site is dedicated to my own search for truth and meaning in life. I offer on it several texts that I have written and several texts that I have either scanned in, downloaded, or hand typed.

The works that I have personally written and place on here have only been edited by myself. This is not a good thing, for when one edits one's own works, one tends not to see all the mistakes in the text itself. I ask the reader to take what is on this site as it is meant to be. The texts I place on here are not polished (although I do try to make them half-way respectable). They are expressions of thoughts and ideas I have had, and I consider them to be useful for others to look at. As time goes on, and as I look back at some of my older writings, I tend to see some of the editing which needs to be done, and when that happens, I will edit the text and put up a new version of the text on this web site. This means that all the writings I place on here, if they were written by myself, are in a state of flux and are liable to change (and hopefully for the better). It is also the case that many texts on here reflect positions which I held at one time, but I do not necessarily believe in the exact same position now. If we are trying to come closer to the truth, the more we will look at our older ideas, and wonder why we held them. I often do that when looking on what I have posted on this web site, but I have decided to continue to offer the texts, as is, because even if some positions are not ones I hold now, I feel they are worthwhile nonetheless to consider on their own merits and might help someone else, even as they helped me at the time I held them.

The works that I type up for this site are from old translations of classical works. This often means the spelling and grammar will be different than what one is used to seeing. I will try to keep to the original text as best I can, and not to edit it in any way. This means that some texts will look and sound odd, but that is what one gets with older translations. There is also the possibility, although I try not to let it happen, that some of the things I type up will have slight defects -- in that it won't be a 100% reproduction of the text. If you know an occasion of when this happens, please let me know!

I hope you find this site to be enjoyable and useful. Please feel free to email me any comments you might have.
