On Nov 3, 1997, Carylyn Gwyn Moser wrote the following in my Guestbook:

Comments: When I came to Tree of Life Congregation, I saw that they were already using the Elazar Classification system, 2nd ed. They apparently switched from Dewey some years back. The congregation is 133 years old, and I could tell by some of the books that the had been formerly classified by Dewey. I have been using the 2nd ed. since the fall of 1995. I have had to insert my own classification numbers, ....but most of all I had to invent my own classification system between 736-739 for the Holocaust. As a former Holocaust historian, I found the 1968 classification woefully inadequate, ....and so I developed my own system within that range, .....         I am aware, that there is a third ed out there. I saw it written up in a professional journal--pointed out to me by my library superviser at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. And I hope to address buying a copy at a business meeting this Wednesday with the executive director of my synagogue. I'm so glad you still exist. Gwyn Moser

I was impressed with Gwyn's expansion, contacted her, and we agreed to  do some minor revisions taking into consideration 737 Post World War II. She accepted the minor changes made. Those who have a large Holocaust collection and would like to use the Moser Expansion will have to move 737 to 739.
