Life and Dance
They move
Silently
Slow motions
Their arms outstretched
You can only hear their low grunts
as they exert all their energy
Concentrating
Not a soul moves
They bring to life the movements
which have never been released
Finding their way
Across their stage
of life
Moving slowly increasing
their tempo
Leaping into the air
catching a glimpse of the future
In that moment
Flying
Soaring
Then landing solid
steadily
Softly
Reunited with the earth
Their whole bodies
lifted by this wonder of dance
A magic delight
which leaves me in a trance
May I join you?
Please...
that's all I ask
To feel the joy
and experience the pleasure
of life
and of dance
