Four years we fought this battle. Four years our blood and tears. Then on the fith we rested having vanquished all our fears. But as we sleep the soul theif creaps tword our resting form. Its eyes blood red and soul of blak it dones the cloke of dread
And on the marow we shall wake to find that we are dead.

Hello, my name is William Welch and I am a sophomore Academic Team Member at Starr's Mill High School in Fayette County, GA. Great website, in many cases quiz bowl teams don't get the recognition they deserve. We are fortunate at our school, but many ot
ers aren't in the same boat. Keep up the good work!

Love your web site. In addition to teaching, I run a small home business selling quiz bowl questions. I know the above URL is very long at our school, but if you look at my web page you can find 100 sample questions and a list of major books and authors
that quiz bowl participants should know. These can be accessed under Academic Team on the pull-down menu of my page. If you are interested in questions, please let me know. I sell sets of 500 toss-up questions for $20 on computer disk. Sets of 150 fou
-part bonuses are available for $10 on disk. I will add you to my mailing list. Thanks.

Work, work, workworkworkworkworkworkworkworkworkwork..........
It's not like you're that far behind Country Day.
But.......what any team needs is......
a.) Flawless knowledge of Geographical facts (like the kinds of questions they'd ask at Port Huron)
b.) The ability to crunch numbers quickly (work, work, workworkworkworkworkworkworkwork) and have an intuitive grasp as to how to solve math problems in 5 seconds or less (kind of like the questions they'd ask at Port Huron)
c.) An extensive knowledge of words (kind of like the "CATEGORY: Entomology. Name this four syllable word..." questions that they've _been_ asking at Port Huron since _I_ played in the darned tournament way way back in 1990 and 91...)
d.) Extensive and flawless knowledge, inside and out, of the grammar facts that you should have learned in 9th grade already (questions about which just happen to turn up pretty frequently in Port Huron tournament packets)
e.) The presidents, their vice presidents, their administrations, significant items about presidents' lives, and major historical events that happened under the various presidencies...
f.) And some science and literature background.
Now, darnit, go win the 2000 Class B Championship.....well you gotta win the league first before winning the state championships...
How about a Quiz Bowl championship for a middle class team instead of the Country Day/Brother Rice Plutobrats?????
The revolution starts with you all.......
