7-30-98: Guilt & Innocence

I feel kind of sorry for the boy who's the subject of Jackie's zaniness. He may be obnoxious, but I can see the hurt in his eyes and what he does. Jackie gave him a little pamplet found on our table about proper nutrition. He was sitting with a few other boys who really aren't his friends as they were laughing. He told them to shut up and tried hard to change the subject.

I'm going to sit with Kathleen on the bus tomorrow. I think Jackie will be mad, but Kathleen asked me to and I had to say yes since she hasn't had very many people to talk to on that hour long trip back and forth before. I don't know why Jackie doesn't like Kathleen. She's so nice. Not that I don't think Jackie's nice or anything, it's just that Kathleen hasn't bad-mouthed or said anything mean to her.
