8-12-98: Busy Ramblings
I look around me, and what do I see? A clean, organized room. Yup, you heard me right. A clean room.
It looks slightly messier than before because I had arranged things a certain way that made it appear to be clean, although it definitely wasn't. But now, everything is in its place and all my useless junk is sorted into two bags ready to be thrown away.
Everything is starting to begin now. As the song "Closing Time" says--"Every new beginning comes from every new beginning's end". So here I am, getting ready for school. I'm going to the optometrist tomorrow for an eye exam, pick new glasses frames, and order stronger lenses. I'm not too excited about going there tomorrow. I dislike my optometrist...he aggravates me, and makes me feel like I'm a ditsy little girl. Anyways, I also have to pick up my schedule for school. I know as soon as I get a hold of it, I'm going to race home and immeditely call my best friend to compare her list of teachers and classes. Last year, we were in all the same classes. I don't think I could stand it this year. We'd get on each other's nerves again, and get into too many arguments. I'm already tired of looking at her, and hearing her voice.
Then there is the lovely prospect of going to the orthodontist. Geez. I wish my dentist was my orthodontist because he is just too nice. He used to give out coupons for ice cream sundaes, but he switched to toothbrushes. Plus, his assistants are always so warm and kind. They always are there for me if I'm suffering any pain.
So what have I been doing this week? Just going to violin lessons, practicing the violin, cleaning my room, writing, surfing the net, using my Algebra CD-ROM to refresh myself about equations, reading, getting bored out of my mind, etc. Nothing special.
