Camp 1997

This was when I finally got better roommates! Rayanne was there, and so was a celloist named "Francesca" or "Franny." We had a wonderful time, and we bounced off the walls a lot. The technique to bouncing off the walls correctly is to take a good run first, than jumping up, and in mid-launch, hitting the side of your body so it bounces off the walls. This is could be a new, camp, tradition!(although the counselors yell at you to stop because it causes a lot of racket)

That week was a pure eating frenzy for me. Everybody brought along candy, and sodas. Whenever people were out of stock, they went to the gift shop and bought more. Rayanne and I consumed 2 cans of Pringles, a bag of twizzlers, assorted chocolates, and 4 Capri Sun drinks for "snacks". Just thinking about disgusts me now.

The food there was okay, but not great. Rayanne and I decided to decided how much grease was in the scrambled eggs, so we got tons of napkins. Then, we put a few pieces of eggs in the napkin, and see how many napkins it would soak up. We found out after about 15 napkins that there was almost no way to tally it up that way. The grease just kept on coming.

Being very bored, we also experimented with the breadsticks. First, Rayanne dipped it into some whipped cream, and said,"This isn't too bad," so I did the same and it kind of tasted good. Then ,we dipped the breadsticks in banana pudding, and that tasted okay too. After, Rayanne put the bread in tea and tried it, and told me to try it on my drink. I put it into my lemonade, made a huge, sickened, face, and said,"Euggh!" Trying to figure out why I thought it tasted so bad, Rayanne out her bread in the lemonade, and made the same face I had made before.

"Eughh! Yuck!" Rayanne cried, and it took us a couple minutes to recooperate.

The moral of this story is to not dip breadsticks into lemonade. It tasted utterly gross. Yes, it may have been very stupid to try it in the first place, but I remind you that we were very bored, and we were merely trying out our culinary skills.
