PUZZLE FIGHTER II TURBO
The best puzzle game there is.......I got so
addicted to this game that I played with my equally crazy friends until
5a.m. almost every weekend!! It's so thrilling to use Akuma to 'tian' your
opponent......the ultimate in puzzle fighting, This only comes when U overwhelmingly
pile your opponent with blocks.
Well, for the first time, I will reveal my
strategy and tactics to 'tian' your opponents.
First,
U must realise that the hole from which the blocks come out is the 4th
row. U mustn't pile anything in that row, even if it is spoiling your patterns.
With this in mind, your defense will be very good. If your opponent piles
a big one on U, U are able to withstand it without much damage.
Second,
U need to memorise the pattern (meaning the first row of the counter gem
is enough) of your opponent. This is to aid U in building your killer block
which is supposed to finish your opponent. This I will explain later.
Ok,
now is the strategy part.......your screen will be divided into half. The
left side being the area to build the killer block and the right side of
the screen being the area for your chains. The 4th row of cos being the
divider.
Remember
I told U to memorise the patterns??....Well, now U will need it. To make
things easier, I will take donavan for example. His pattern is red, yellow
thoughout. U know that when he attacks U this entire row will come down.
Build a 2nd row of red to complement with the 1st row of red. After a while,
U will have a 2 row block of red!! And when the time is right, just clear
this block. Your opponent would be 'tian'.
Well
for the right side, just pile the blocks anyhow BUT try not to clear any
blocks at all as this will provide extra blocks for your opponent to kill
U. When the diamond comes and clear a particular colour, I am sure that
there will be a few chains this side of the screen. This will be enough
to counter some of his attacks.
The
idea of this strategy is to play fast. To be able to build the killer block
as soon as possible. So DO NOT delay your placing of your blocks!! Those
that are not used to build your killer block, just cast them to the right.
In this way, U dun have to think much and can 'tian' your opponent in a
jiffy.
ALWAYS
look at your opponent's screen. Well that is what it's for rite? Look for
right opportunites to 'tian' your opponent. Sometimes U dun have to build
a big block to 'tian' your opponent. Your opponent might make a mistake
and pile up too high in the 4th row. Now is your opportunity! Clear your
small killer block which will be enough to 'tian' him. If it is not enough,
use your chains on the right side of the screen. Remember when U decide
to 'tian' him, go all out and dun look back.
Well,
if all these doesn't work, dun panic. There are many Houdinis around who
manage to escape, (like most of my friends.....argh!!) Try to recover as
fast as U can. Start building your killer block again, slowly. Chances
are your opponent are equally messy. So they will not be able to do much
damage to U soon (unless his diamond comes out) Crawl back fast and 'tian'
him. Remember if U are cool..........half the battle is won.
