Q: 교육사역자 협의회가 왜 필요한가 Why AEM?
A: 간단히 말하자면 교회성장에 있어 교육사역자가 잊혀지고 잃어버려진 도구이기 때문이다.
교회가 질적, 양적으로 계속 성장하기 위해서는 일관적이고 체계적인 교육이 반드시 필요하다. 일관적이고 체계적인 교육은 누군가가 교회교육을 위해 행정적인 뒷밭침을 제공할 수 있을 때 가능하다. 행정적인 지원과 지도를 담당하는 사람이 교육행정에 대한 온전한 이해를 가지고 일생을 바쳐 그 사명을 이루기로 헌신하지 않는 한 이와 같이 중요한 사역이 효과적으로 이루어질 수는 없다.
그러나 지금까지 거의 대부분의 교인들과 목회자들은 교육사역의 기능을 목회사역보조만 보아왔다. 따라서 교육사역자의 위치는 담임목회자가 되기 위해 거쳐 가야하는 "임시직" 또는 "징검다리"로 여겨져 왔다. 심지어는 교육목회자 자신들도 어느 교회의 담임으로 청빙될 때까지 잠시 그 역할을 감당한다는 자세로 교육목회에 임하고 있다.
이제 교회교육사역과 교육사역자의 역할을 재정의해야할 때가 됐다. 또한 더 많은 사람들이 교육사역에 생애를 바칠 수 있도록 격려하고, 이렇게 필수적이고 가치있는 사역에 생애를 바치고자 하는 사람들을 적극적으로 후원해야할 때가 됐다.
따라서 새로운 천년을 맞는 한국 침례교인들을 위해 더 많은 교육사역자들을 배출하는데 이바지하는 것이 교육사역자 협의회의 가장 중요한 임무이다.
It is simply because "eductional ministers are forgotten and lost tools of church growth...."
In order for a church to continue to grow in both quality and quantity, a consistant and systematic education is a must. It will be possible only when there is someone who can and will administrate the educational ministry of the church. And this important ministry cannot be effective unless the one who supports and leads it has not only a sound understanding of the concept of educational ministry but also a firm commitment to it with his or her entire life.
Many ministers as well as lay people, if not all, currently see the educational ministry as simply an auxiliary to the pastoral ministry. More often than not, even educational ministers themselves are in the educational ministry, thinking that they will stay in it temporarily until they are called to a church to pastor. Therefore, the role of an educational minister is considered by them as "seasonal" or "a steping stone" to get to the position of a pastor.
It is now time to redefine the concept of the educational ministry of the church and the role of the educational minister. It is now also time to encourage more people of God to commit their lives to the educational ministry and support those who are willing to devote their whole lives in this absolutely necessary and valuable ministry area.
Thus, it will be one of the most important tasks of the Association of Educational Ministers to cultivate educational ministers for the Korean Baptists as the churches embark on the new millenium.

Q: 누가 협의회의 회원이 될 수 있는가? Who can join AEM?
A: 안수를 받았든 받지 않았든, 남자이든 여자이든, 교육사역자 협의회의 회원이 되기 위해서는 하나님의 부르심에 따라 일생을 교육사역자로 헌신한 사람이어야 한다. 교회 교육사역 개발에 진정한 관심을 갖고있는 사람이어야 한다. 분담사역 (또는 협동사역/팀사역)에 동참하기로 결심한 사람이어야 한다. 또한 협의회의 연구 프로젝트에 기여할 의지를 가진 사람이어야 한다.
Those who want to join AEM do not have to be ordained or licensed but must be called by God to serve as Educational Minister for their entire career. They must have genuine interest in the development of the educational ministry of the church. They must be committed to participate in shared ministry (also known as cooperative ministry or team ministry). And also they must be willing to contribute to research projects of AEM.
Q: 협의회가 추진하고자 하는 프로젝트에는 어떤 것들이 있는가? What are some projects in which AEM will be involved?
A: 협의회는 평생 교육사역자로 헌신한 사역자들과 분담사역의 개념을 적용하려는 교회들에게 도움이 되는 다양한 프로젝트를 추진할 계획이다. 예를 들면 다음과 같다:
AEM will be involved in a variety of projects that will assist the ministries of life-time Educational ministers and the churches that desire to implement the shared ministry concept.

Q: 협의회 회원이 되려면 회비를 납부해야 하는가? 그렇다면 회비는 얼마인가? Do I have to pay a membership fee to participate in the activities of AEM? If so, how much is it?
A: 회비는 현재 정해져있지 않다. 하나님의 사람들로부터의 헌금에 의해 협의회가 운영되고 있다.
There is no membership fee currently. AEM is being operated with donations by godly people.
