Hush

Hush, you don't have to say a word,
I know what you're going to say.
Your eyes won't meet mine
and the words are coming out barbled.
You're keeping to yourself,
and leaving me to me.

I know out paths split here,
no longer to continue as one.
We may remain in sight for a while,
but soon the distance will be to great.
Maybe we'll cross briefly someday,
to say hello and how are you.
But then our lives will pull us on
as they're doing now.

So hush, you don't have to say a word.
I don't need directions through this intersection.
So I'll seperate to find my way,
and hope that you'll find yours.
And deep down there'll always be a place
where I'll remember and love you.
