SSTV's new live band series starts off rocking

Zymotic Flow, a local alternative band, took over the SSTV airwaves on Wednesday night, October 26, 2000 to do a special live performance fo rthe residential students of Stockton. They performed numerous songs, and took calls from those watching at home.

There was also a small group at the station to meet the band. After the performance, the band headed off to D-court to meet more students. They have out copies for their CD to those who donated any amount of money to the band. The performance was a special one becuse the band has stopped playing gigs to start recording their second album. They appeared as part of SSTV's new Thursday night live band series.

The band not only played well, but had a lot of personality. They had a purple drum set, a guitar player blue hair, and an amp that read, "will work for guitar stings." They really got into thier music while playing, head banging and jumping around. They combinced a modern alternative sound with funky 70's riffs.

While on the air, the band challenged Stockton students with bands of their own to get in touch with them. they said that they would come back and play against the other bands. You can find them and some of their songs on-line and mp3.com-Zymoticflow.

Zymotic Flow is from Turnercille, NJ and consists of four members, Bozzuffia who plays guitars, Zamora who sang vocals, Chauncey on the drums, and Pettite on the bass. They say that their influences are The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pink Floyd, Sublime, Jayhawks and Mozart. They play the Philadelphia and New York City club scenem with appearances at Pontiac, Baja Beach Club, and CBGB's.

SSTv hopes that Stockton students will contanct them with thier band information to continue the series.
