Poetry entry 2, Freedom of Oppression

I was once told that this is my best work, and from then on I would showcase it as my one and only piece. I soon found out that there is more to poetry and writing than I had ever imagined. But it is still one of my favoite pieces.
Freedom of Oppression
As I lay and think about the now,
the before hits me like a brick,
but I can not care, except to compare.
You gave freedom of oppression,
you give oppressive freedom,
and which is better, I know not.
I think with pencil in hand,
but only the words are erasable,
the actions pester me for eternity.
Your love is and was the only solid,
the one thing in my life I trusted,
but don't haunt my next chance.
