Here are some true life experiences from some teenage friends. Experiences that changed their lives forever!!!
" My experience through the Christeen retreat is something great. I thought there was no God, no one to take care of us. But now I came to know that there is God who takes care of us like a father." Arti Mishra, IX-A |
" I learnt to love, to care for everyone, and that we should not have feeling of hatred for anyone." Priya Verma, IX-A |
" I experienced that the sadness or misunderstanding between me and my parents as well as friends were all gone." Aikalvya Singh, IX-A |
One day, I noticed, Udish Kumar, my student in Std I, drooping
over the desk; distressed and with a bewildered look. Upon asking; he shared that
there was a quarrel at home on the previous day, between his father and uncle and
the police were called in. He was reluctant even to go home. Tears rolling down on
his cheeks, he insisted to accompany me to my home. When I prayed for him;
Jesus inspired me to teach him a hymn like this.
Wonderful home, what a- Wonderful home, my lovely home Father, Mother, Brother and Sister Make a heavenly home. According to my instructions, he recited this hymn loudly during the evening prayer; His uncle, who was getting ready to pack off, too heard this hymn. All of a sudden, the child went to his father and asked him. "Papa, is our home a heaven or a hell now?''. The father was spell bound. He could only hug the child, tears fell down from his eyes. The child repeated the question. Then came his uncle, taking the child in his arms, he exclaimed "Child, I will never make this home a hell'' All the hatred melted away then and there. Both the brothers embraced each other; forgiving each other, they completed the evening prayer, thanking God. The very next day, Udish Kumar came to the school, not alone, but together with his father and uncle. With a glowing face; his uncle told me, "Madam, really children are a gift from God; we experienced it yesterday evening, thank you very much for teaching that hymn of love." |
"Sons are indeed a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward" (Psalm 127/3).
Yes, each child has a role to bring love, peace and harmony to his home, school and any where and every where. Dear children, you have to spread the fragrance of love. God is love. He loves you and when you love others, God himself abides in you. (Jn 14/23).
