I introduce myself...

I'm a salesian, priest since September 10, 1994.

I was born in Moncalieri (Turin) on January 3, 1966.

Actually I live in Rome since 1993, and here in the Salesian Pontifical University since September 1997. I'm Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy since April 2006.

I had been graduated in Philosophy (PhD) in the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain) with a thesis about the commentaries by the so-called "first School of Salamanca" to the q. II of the Summa Theologiae by Thomas Aquinas. In Italy I studied in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and in the Salesian Pontifical University, where in 1997 I also concluded the Licence in Philosophy with a thesis about "the philosophical reflection on the time and the creation until Thomas of Aquin. A Theoretical-comparative synthesis" (Prof. Gianfranco BASTI), and the Licence in Dogmatic Theology.

Since March 2002 I'm Professor of Theoretical Philosophy II. I'm interested particularly in: introduction to philosophy; philosophical theology; philosophy of history; manuscripts about the history of thomism, especially about the "Theological School of Salamanca [Spain]"; topics about the relationship between science, philosophy and theology.

I'm member of the Council of the International Society "Thomas Aquinas" and I usually cooperate with the Journals "Armonia di Voci" and "Unità e Carismi". I'm also responsible of the STOQ - UPS Project and of the Pastoral care of the University Cultural Center "Paolo VI", in Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, Rome.
