All these photos are taken in Ruunaankoski's hiking-area in the begining of September 1997. I was there in a three day wandering, it was really fun and I took 72 photos...:) Here are ten best of them.

Forest...There is quite a lot of forest in my country. And I really love walking in it. The trees in this picture are mostly pines, maybe some birches too...I didn't find the name of the plant that's growing in the ground from my dictionary, in Finnish it is "metsäkorte" (I think...).

Water and stones...Light creates very beautiful patterns when it goes through running water.

It was nice to wake up when first you saw when coming out of tent was this. I love mist and water.

Part of a river. The water that we drank from that river tasted much better than the water here in my hometown. Kind of funny when one thinks of all the algae growing in it...

Bog or marsh or whatever...It is really difficult to find the right word for that kind of "suo" in English...But anyway I love it too, specially in the autumn. It smel's really great, mostly the smell is from marsh tea. In that picture should be seen one typical marsh plant, in finnish "niittyvilla", but at least I can't recognice it from that picture, it's so small and all...In the original picture, however, I can see it clearly so I can tell you it is there allthough you may not see it...

Walking through the marsh. It was really wet although it doesn't seem to be.

This is one of the places where we camped. One can find all main trees that grow in Finland from this picture: pine, spruce and birch. Sun shines very lovely in the hill. The tent I slept in was up on the hill.

The river. And some forest and marsh around it.

Forest and river...Nothing special. At least here in Finland that's not special...

And more forest...This time more damp. Birches and spruces. And causeway that we used for walking most of the time.
