S.O. 862(E). In the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income tax Act,1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, on the recommendations of the National Committee, hereby approves the institutions mentioned in column (2) of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects or schemes and the estimated cost thereof as mentioned in column(3) of the said Table and also specifies in the column(4) of the said Table, the maximum amount of such cost which may be allowed as deduction under said section 35AC.

Swami Sivananda Memorial Trust and Hospital established in 1987, have just completed 10 years of dedicated services to the rural population in and around Pattamadai, 70 Km north of Kanyakumari, the backward and neglected area in the south.

It has an impressive record of service covering more than 7 lakhs out patients and over 4500 in-patients.

Now, the Ministry of Finance has approved our institution and the extension of medical relief & Health Care Services vide Notification No.862(E) dated 12.12.1997, a copy is enclosed for your reference.

The Charitable Hospital and it's activities, solely depends upon the sustained interest and sincere well wishers like your good self.The amount so kindly given by you will be utilised for the direct benefit to ever increasing number of sick desilude who have no where else to go for help and relief. Your contribution by way of cheque in favour of "SSMT GRAMOTTHAN YOJANA" will be most gratefully accepted .The above mentioned project is being implemented by our Swami Sivananda Centenary Charitable Hospital, which works under Swami Sivananda Memorial Trust.
