Advanced Placement Literature Texts

In addition to the 3 summer reading texts, the following works will comprise our AP "bookshelf" for the coming year.  I encourage students to purchase their own copies whenever possible since this allows them to highlight and make marginal notes that can then be used to review before tests and in April and May to review for the AP Exam.  Since we select works which are also used in college literature classes, the students may meet these texts again and find the highlighting and comments valuable.  In addition to the texts listed below, we will be spending much time on poetry from the seventeenth century to the present.  These are contained in the DiYanni text.

Works with * before them are in the text used in class, Literature; Reading Fiction, Poetry, Drama and the Essay by Robert DiYanni.
