Halloween 1999 |
|||||||||||||||||||
This year for Halloween we were a bit limited by the school test schedule, so we were unable to plan any big events. We were able to carry on the tradition of a Jack o' Lantern design contest (started by Eric Phillips, the previous AET). There were a lot of great designs submitted, but the winner was third year student Hazuki Uchiyama from class 3-2. After school on the 28th, we carved her design into a mammoth pumpkin found by Shimazaki-sensei. It was no easy task, (Japanese pumpkins are a bit thicker than american ones) but we were pleased with the results! |

???, Hiroko Watanabe, Hazuki Uchiyama, Chihiro, and Shannon the AET display their creation. The design was Hazuki's, but everyone helped with the difficult carving. |
