> Pilate wanted to let him go. Barabbas - means Son of the Father.

> Compare - Sinner released - us - Jesus took our place, We were in the place of Barabbas - Some still are.

> We stand before the judgment seat and God says we are freed, Jesus will pay the price, and already has.

Jesus became a curse for us - we are hated like He was (or should be if we aren't) - more than outward sinners - example: Gays, Adulterers, etc..

John 15: 18-20

> Expect no better than your master - His message was "Love God with all your heart and your neighbor", - Did not say take sword and fight Rome.

> Reason for hate was natural - hate for goodness - evil by nature.

John 3: 19-21

> Reformation - how they were killed - disciples - ect.. - Excessive cruelty used - but still couldn't stop it - in fact just opposite happened.

> Then world changed - evil worked within - worship of saints, angels, images, Mary, ect..

> In Protestantism - entertainment, attendance schemes, going through motions, - the Barabbas' of today.

> What are the Barabbas' in your life?

> Have you released Jesus in your life?

> If you still have Jesus bound in your life, release Him!
