The Veil

Matthew 27: 50-51

Hebrews 10: 19-20

> The thought itself of God in the flesh is beyond comprehension.

> Men expressed sorrow in Bible by rending their clothes; In types and shadows, the Temple was now open and exposed by the renting of the veil. Access to the Holiest place was now open to all who would enter with a clean heart and desire to see God.

> System of types and shadows of earthly priesthood was over.

> Holy of Holies now open to all - not just high priest

Exodus 19: 9-12 & 18-21

> This was the introduction of the law.. bounds were set.... no invitation to draw near, except to high priest and that only once a year.

Matthew 11:28

Jesus now makes invitation.. open to all... Some Christians still worship from afar off.... Why?

1 John 4: 18

> No fear in drawing near to Father... should be like our own children..

> Veil rent - also now only separation is sin - Sin shuts out Prayer, Praise, all religious exercise, and eventually leads to Spiritual death.

2 Corinthians 3: 14 -16, & 4: 3-4

> We used to have a veil over our heart, now it is rent in two.

> Rent - not rolled up - never to be used again - no separation.

> Nothing can separate us from God's love..

Romans 8: 35-39

> Devil will try to keep you from God,, but cannot separate you.. You can separate yourself from God by choosing to obey sin instead of God.

Revelation 1: 6

After the high priest came out of the Holy of Holies, he would bless the people, - Once you have been in the Holy of Holies you will bless people also...

We have a right to enter the Holy of Holies because we are now Priests and Kings unto God.. We now minister in the priesthood.. Do you?

Not only are we to minister as priests, but we have been given authority as a King.

Are you performing your duties as a Priest? A King? A Christian?
