I have written everyone that I know to write. This is the only letter I have received from the Government thus far.

Dear Ms. Sheridan,

Thank you so much for your e-mail regarding prisoners of war and missing in action (POW/MIAs). It is an honor and a pleasure to serve you in the United States Senate.

I am 100% committed to doing everything in our power to locate and bring our POW'S home safely and will entertain any and all methods to accomplish this goal. Therefore, you may be interested to know that I am to be a cosponsor of S. 484, the Bring Them Home Alive Act of 1999. This bill grants refugee status to any foreign national which aids in bringing U.S. POW/MIA's from the Korean and Vietnam Wars home alive.

I have also taken the liberty of forwarding a copy of your message to the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office at the Pentagon to request that they share with you any information they have about Sergeant Bridges. Please rest assured that I will do all I can to account for every single missing U.S. soldier during my tenure in the Senate.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me about this important issue. As the 106th Congress continues to depbate important issues such as this, I hope that you will continue to give me the benefit of your thoughts and advice.

With warm regards,

I am

Sincerely,

(sig)

Bill Frist, M.D.
United States Senator
