Kahimunan Festival is celebrated both in Butuan City and
Bayugan, Agusan del Sur. The former celebrates it every
third Sunday of January and the latter on every first
Sunday of January.
In Butuan City, The festival is highlighted by a colorful street
theater presentation of devotees in celebration of
the feast of Sr. Sto. Niņo akin to the
Sinulog of Cebu. In Bayugan, the dances in this particular
festival is focused on the Agusan del Sur indigenous
tribe's way of life.
