The pandanus armband, called ubmbal ujnyjan in Uw Oykangand and Uw Olkola is worn around the upper arm in certain ritual circumstances. The name is composed of the words ubmbal, arm, and ujnyjan, pandanus tree. It is made from the paler, younger leaves of the pandanus tree, Pandanus spiralis.
