Billycan with sugarbag. Near Oriners Station, February 24, 1996 [PH]

Billycans are used for cooking, carrying water and have many other useful roles. Nowadays people often use old drums of flour or golden syrup, or buy buckets in town. They have partially replaced more traditional containers and carrying vessels such as the coolamon, bark dish or bailer shell.
