Arafura file snake, Acrochordus arafurae

The file snake, Acrochordus arafurae (family Acrochordidae), is a grey and brown snake with loose skin having the texture of a file. This is an aquatic snake, found in freshwater streams and waterholes.

This snake is edible. People can eat it and dogs can eat it. But pregnant women and children mustn't eat it. It coils up inside your belly, makes you sick, can kill you.
