Peaceful dove, Cairns, NQ [PH]

The peaceful dove, Geopelia placida (family Columbidae), is a small grey woodland dove common in open woodland throughout central Cape York Peninsula.

Its call is very familiar, and can be interpreted differently depending on the circumstances: When fishing it may be interpreted as "too good! too good!" When shifting camp it may be interpreted as "fuck off! fuck off!"
