LISTING OF TRADITIONAL MASSES
WHICH HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY
PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF
ETHIOPIA
There are no traditional Latin Masses in Ethiopia. The Republic is part of the cultural
home of the Abyssinian (Ethiopian) or Ge'ez Use of the Alexandrian Rite and shall
therefore be listed according to the divisions of the Particular Church which corresponds
thereto.
Until more information becomes available to the site moderator, there will be no
listing of Alexandrian Ge'ez Masses in Ethiopia. Following is a list of the sees
of that use.
There are every Sunday traditional masses in both of them.
A. ALEXANDRIAN RITE: GE'EZ/ABYSSINIAN USE
Province of Addis Abeba
(Comprising the independent sovereign states of the
People's Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Eritrea)
Metropolitan See: Archdiocese of Addis Abeba
Suffragan See in Ethiopia: Diocese of Adigrat
