Anglican Use
The Anglican Use was approved for the U.S.A. by The Holy Father in 1983. It
is not a traditional liturgy per se since it was composed in 1980 by committee.
However, most of its content is traditional and Western. Much of the liturgy is taken from
the sonorous Anglican Prayer books and there are some borrowings from the Roman Mass and
the Byzantine Divine Liturgy. It uses the Offertory of the Novus Ordo Mass, however.
