Introduction

What is Enochian Magick?

Enochian Magick is a form of Angelic Magick.  It is a magick practice that invokes angels to heal, protect, learn secrets, control nature, etc. etc.  By calling the angels with their proper names, they can be invoked.  (In my opinion) Angels are neither good nor bad, they are merely guides.  It is up to you to decide how to use them, either for a 'good' purpose or a 'bad' purpose.

Why is it called Enochian Magick?  In the bible it is believed that a person named Enoch received this Enochian art through the contact of the Angels.  Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley (the founders) contacted the angels and learned the Magick arts of the angels. 

What is so special about Enochian Magick and how is it different from the other pratices of Magick?  Enochian is rather complex, more complex than Wicca (I believe).   It requires different set of tools to practice (although I don't use any tools at all).  The magick practice follows certain tablets, for example the Sigel of Ameth and the Great Table.   These tablets were made in a special way to catalog the Angels' names so they can be read easily and find an angel's name in no time.  Enochian magick doesn't require you to cast a cirlce like most occult practices and pagan practices (but I cast a circle and made my own rituals for opening the circle), the invocations are merely like prayers and rituals.  Finally the thing that differentiates it from most magick practices, it has it's own language.  A very complex language ~ almost similiar to hebrew and pronounced differently. 

I myself have changed Enochian magick to fit my needs and beliefs.  My type of Enochian Magick is a mixture of Golden Dawn and Wicca, but most of it is 'pure' Encohian.
