Young Adults Fellowship of BPCWA

"... Spurring one another unto love and good works...
 (Hebrews 10:24-25. NIV)

History of Young Adults Fellowship

On a Saturday morning in July 1994, a group of young adults who regularly attended a young adults bible study group gathered for breakfast. A discussion was held about the possibility of starting a fellowship to cater for the needs of the young adults in BPCWA. It was through this simple meeting that the Young Adults Fellowship (or YAF in short) was formed.

In September, a Protem committee comprising seven brothers and sisters was formed and the YAF was officially inaugurated on the 4th November 1994.

The YAF adopted the directional statement, "spurring one another unto love and good works", taken from Hebrews 10:24-25. Since the inauguration of the YAF in November, this fellowship has seen many blessings from the Lord. Many brothers and sisters in the BPCWA have shown their love and support towards the Fellowship in various ways. We thank and praise the Lord for these people.

In July 1995, the first YAF Winter Camp was held in Jarrahdale. The four days were a blessing for all those who were there. Strong friendships were built up between brothers and sisters. Prayer meetings and outings are all part of the programme in this fellowship. It is prayfully desired that through these different meetings, our faith in our Lord Jesus will be strengthen, and a strong relationship can be developed between all the young adults. Through the fellowship, we pray that the young adults in BPCWA will cleave to the Lord, serving Him and spreading His Gospel.
