Toastmasters Recognition
Competent Toastmaster (CTM)
Upon completion of the Communication and Leadership
Program manual, submit the signed CTM application to World Headquarters,
and you will be awarded the Competent Toastmaster (CTM) certificate and
sent, without charge, your choice of three manuals from the Advanced Communication
and Leadership Program.
Able Toastmaster (ATM)
To qualify for the Able Toastmaster (ATM) recognition, a Toastmaster
must have:
- Completed the basic Communication and Leadership Program Manual to
receive the CTM Award and three of the advanced manuals
- Served as an elected club officer
- Given at least three speeches before non-Toastmasters group
Able Toastmaster (ATM) Bronze
To be eligible for Able Toastmaster (ATM) Bronze recognition, a Toastmaster
must have:
- Received the ATM award
- Completed three additional advanced manuals
- Coordinated and conducted two Success/Leadership
modules within two years of application
- Presented five speeches, seminars or workshops to non-Toastmasters
groups within two years of application (excluding those listed on ATM application.)
Able Toastmaster (ATM) Silver
This Able Toastmaster (ATM) award is given to a Toastmaster who has:
- Received the ATM Bronze award
- Completed three additional advanced manuals
- Conducted a training seminar in a company or in public, OR conducted
a Toastmaster training session for club or district officers within two
years of application. (Minimum individual presentation time is 30 minutes.)
- Judged two Toastmaster speech contests above the club level
- Delivered a major platform address to a non-Toastmaster audience of
50 or more within two years of application
Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)
The highest award in Toastmasters International, the Distinguished Toastmaster
(DTM) is given to an ATM, ATM
Bronze or ATM Silver who has:
- Maintained four years continuous membership to date of application
- Coordinated at least one Speechcraft
and one Youth Leadership course within two years of application
- Given at least five speeches before non-Toastmasters groups
- Served a full term as a club officer and a district officer
- Sponsored five new members within one year of application
- Been a sponsor or mentor of a new club, or rebuilt a weak club as a
club specialist within four years of application
Accredited Speaker Program
This program is designed specially for individuals who have demonstrated
outstanding speaking skills in major presentations beyond the club level.
To apply you must have:
- Given 25 major addresses during the three years preceding your application
date
- Demonstrated professional-level speaking skills in specified categories
- Earned the ATM award
- Maintained current membership in a Toastmasters club
- Successful candidates must pass a rigorous two-stage judging process
