Color Poem

Poetry type: Free Verse

Directions: Think of a color. Think as many things as you can that are that color. Describe the color using all of your senses. What does the color feel like, taste like, smell like, sound like, and look like? Arrange your ideas into a poem. Use similes and/or metaphors.

Blue
A dying wail,
A sweet piece of candy,
A soft touch,
A cool drink,
The deepest sea,
A calm lake at dawn,
The peaceful sky ,
The sound of the wind
Through the woods at night,
The smell of rain before the storm,
My mood
