A short, humorous poem with a specific rhyme scheme and rhythm.



Directions:
1st line Three beats Ends with rhyme A
2nd line Three beats Ends with rhyme A
3rd line Two beats Ends with rhyme B
4th line Two beats Ends with rhyme B
5th line Three beats Ends with rhyme A

The last line usually has a humorous twist.

Sample:
There once was a teacher named Fred
Whose class was a pain in the head
He was found in despair
Tied up in a chair
And a kid teaching his class instead
