A Poem for Two Voices





Poetry type: Two Voice duet

A poem consisting of two poems with are simultaneously spoken at the same time creating a type of duet-style sound.

Directions:
Create two poems on any subject. The poems will probably not rhyme, but when should harmonize in certain parts. The poems should “match” at certain parts according to rhythm and syllables.

Sample: The following two poems are read at the same time. If a line is blank, then the reader is silent during that time.

An eagle......................An eagle
flying...........................flying
High above..................
The clouds...................The clouds
.....................................Are far below
The wings.....................The wings
Beat up.........................Beat down
Faster and faster...........Higher and higher
As the eagle..................As the eagle
Soars and glides...........Glides and soars
Into the sunset.............Into the sunset
