    Nabal had absolutely no sense at all Abigail stands in stark contrast

    Abigail was a woman whose attributes portrayed character.

    v 33 David says she has discernment
    v 3 Nabal was "churlish" and evil

    Proverbs describes 3 Kinds of foolishness

    1. Clueless
    2. One who is willfully disobedient
    3. Reprobate = the fool has said in his heart


    1Tim 2:9,10 some have gone to an extreme dressing so very plainly but Paul is focusing us on character rather than outward and yet is not down playing

    1Pet 3:3-5 matters of priority our focal point is not how we dress but who we are

    Prov 31:30 there is an emptiness to beauty but character lasts

    Prov 11:22 the two do not go together

    Abigail's actions show her character
    v 10. Nabal is actually stating truthfully because there were renegade soldiers but he most certainly was indebted to David because of David's protection and was part of the community.
