    A Comparison and Contrast With Old Testament truths
    Sacrifice/Offering
    Present - Same concept as when it would be brought into the temple: the giver lost all control of the gift. The Contrast is that we are told to present ourselves as a living sacrifice. The Law never gives us a break. We cannot keep the Law; Christ has kept it for us.

    We are commanded to make our sacrifice a:

  • living
  • holy - the best we have
  • well pleasing to God

    v2. Conformed - outward expression affecting inward
    Transformed - metamorphosis - from the inside outward

    The will of God is

  • Good
  • Acceptable - well pleasing
  • Perfect - mature, complete, full, nothing missing
