Celestine Prophesy by James Redfield
It must be noted that this book is not particularly dynamically written; nor
is it intriguing in plot or characterization. This is not to say, however, that this is not an intriguing book. It is in fact one of the most captivating books
of this era.
While technically 'Celestine Prophesy' is a book of fiction,
in practice it is more of a discovery of a world that is decidedly non-fiction. Its story is merely a vehicle to teach
of this interconnected world that we are now evolving an understanding of; its plot a metaphor of the journey each of us must take
along the path we've always been on.
One of the most admirable aspects of the book is its display of
relationships as aura energy transference. The end result is a psycology of interactions
that is both Jungian and metaphysical, at once incredibly simple yet revolutionary enough to
improve the outlook on life of many fortunate enough to encounter it. The reader leaves the book
realizing s/he has only been introduced to concepts they have known all along; its
strength is its enabling of this unconscious knowledge to move into
consciousness. For this is a process necessary in the movement toward the higher self:
I can not overestimate the importance of this book.
