love is giving...
Money is a concept i believe we must make obsolete to evolve, for, beyond all apologies or rhetorisized thinking, the sole usefullness of currency is as a tool for control. We must eat and be sheltered, therefore we must aquire it in some manner. Commercialism is the deliberate attempt to supersede our desires with those that leave our will to be manipulated. Before this comes currency.
Dollars and cents are ussally obtained by an individual doing something they would rather not. By far, the vast majority of people do not work in jobs they enjoy, those best suited for thier talents and interests. In the individuation proccess, writes Carl Jung, each of us realize our full uniqueness and potential, by realizing we are part of a larger whole to which we are vital. By finding and acting as our higher self, also termed our enlightened state in much of Asian philosophy, then we can fulfill our uniqueness and potential, synchonously being of most benefit to each other and the mother Gaia.
In an unbalanced, distrustful society such as ours, this always means going against its tide. Throughout human history, how much human potential has been wasted in servitude? How many artists, doctors, and and ideas that could greatly enhance us are being squandered working at McDonalds?
Furthermore, with the removal of currency we find these meaningless positions are unneccessary and were only ever so because of its influence. With the removal of currency, the stresses crippling our society will be removed and life will assume a less frantic pace. Then what need have we for fast food,or for commercial gadgets that attempt to replace actual quality time, and who will find thier vocation in life to manufacture tools of mass destruction?
Some, such as Hazel Henderson, proclaimed futurist, have applauded the oncoming end of economics, while still promoting currency and other systems of control. The only conceivable reason for this is a general lacking of faith for eachother, to be able to be productive without the guns of society aimed upon thier temples. A lack of trust of this variety is more than analogous to a dismissal of ourselves. It is literally a desecrative act; the repression of respect for others is an inability for the decieved to respect themself, and vice versa. Respect is love and is unconditional. And wihout it, we can not evolve as strived for in the writings of these futurists, the passages of Carl Jung, or the tachings of Bhudda and Jesus, for that matter.
The only way we can achieve these goals is through a massive movement of spontaneous individuaty, the 'critical mass' of Fritjof Capra. Find these ideals within your self and it is destined to occur. Plan for a future of unlimited possibilities and you will be a true futurist. -dan coate
