So, you are ready to start learning HTML. Let's get started. You don't have to be real familiar with your computer, but it would help if you know something. By now you should at least know how to surf the internet, though I am sure you do. First I'll describe the tools you will need:
Some of you may already know that instead of word processors
some people use html editors, which are designed to make the work "quick"
and "easy" so that your HTML knowledge is not necessary.
If you really want to learn HTML don't even think of those.
Remember: you don't have to buy some fancy html editor.
All you need is a word processor like Notepad. Another thing is that most
of the times html editors
are a real mess. So if you can, stick with Notepad. You should also understand
that you don't have to be on-line, while you are making your webpage, because
when you are writing the document that could be then put on the net,
the only tools you need are already avaluable. Webpages
that you see on internet are documents, written in HTML usually with
htm or html extention.
For example: index.html So if you wrote some document in html and are planning to
put it on the net or just take a quick look at it in the web browser
you should save it as *.htm or *.html (* stands for the name of the file)
