Honeybee bumbling along the lawn,
holding your nectar fresh-drawn
from dandelions and buttercups glinting about us,
gather your sweetness this dawn.
I follow your flight with my gaze
while sun surmounts morning's haze
as your path beckons on, and my spirit is drawn
to join in your wandering ways.
Honeybee, my heart sings as you buzz in your dance;
you hasten my dreams, and joy advances;
the lightest of beings gives flight to my feelings
and I'm shamelessly entranced.
I watch as you gather your measure
of nature's bountiful treasure
and dart to your hive, the Castle in the Sky,
to render the gift even sweeter.
Honeybee humming daylong, allow me to join in your song.
Through fields flower-glazed, I will wander amazed
at the beauty you beckon along.
