The sun's rays dance across the sea
And the waves cling to the shore
Hesitating to go back
To the ocean once more
The poet says, the poet says
Everything is alive
The poet says, the poet says
Beauty is in your eyes
The ocean gobbles up the sun
And Mother falls asleep
Blanketed by the night
With the moon watching over her
Lady moon watches over her
And the poet says, the poet says
Beauty is life
The poet says, the poet says
Everything's in your eyes
Lady moon disappears
Clouds veiling her face
Leaving night alone without her
A silent, solemn place to be
"Oh the moon is no longer with me"
So the poet says. The poet says
Everything's in your eyes
The poet says, the poet says
Beauty is alive.
In the calm of the hour
No sounds, no sights
But the stars winking
Are you thinking
The poet's paintings are true to life.
