The Queen

Her majesty reigns from her throne in the capital, and welcomes you all to her domain. To learn more about her highness, please read on:

Vital statistics:

    Name: The Queen

Born: Unknown, but birthday celebrated as the Queendom's New Year, in April, according to the stars

Age: Dated as approximately 10000, but possibly more. The Queen is long-lived and virtually immortal

Duties: To watch over the land and provide for it order and equality and fairness. She acts as judge in trials, oversees all construction, all communications, negotiates treaties, and sees that no one abuses their right to sharing the land

Interests: The Queen plays several instruments, including the pianoforte, the violin, the flute, and our very own melodium (see Music). She sings songs from all other lands, enjoys choreography, and spends her spare time in these as well as in reading

Family: The Queen is married to her Minister of Foreign Affairs and has three children by him, a daughter of 4000 (my dear friend Promise) who is the heir to the throne, and Calm, a son of 1028, and Peace, another daughter, small and aged only 4. Her son and husband are, of course, the only permanent males in the Queendom

Projects: To make this land available to all in all lands, to encourage more men to visit and to promote the prosperity of not only the people of the Queendom, but also of those around the world

The legend of the Queen's ascension:

Once upon a time, our land was inhabited by people unruled by any leader. They lived in anarchy, which had, for them, worked for some time, but soon brought their downfall due to disorder and everyone's desire for power. Greed was rampant and life was miserable for many, extravangant for only a few. Rulers came and went, but they lasted not long, and in time, the people longed for a true leader, though they saw not how this leader would be. In a land dominated by males, the males took power and the females, though gaining power, were forced to relinquish their power. Finally, the females drove out the males to the Kingdom and took over the Queendom, searching for a leader.
One day a little girl barely three feet high walked to her mother and asked, Mother, may I be the Queen? Her mother laughed gently and replied, Dearest, you may be anything you wish. So the girl left home and traveled to the center of the Queendom, helping the poor, downtrodden women and children. In time, she rebuilt the land to a vast realm of true prosperity. She invited some of the men to return from the goodness of her heart, but none came but one, the man who became her husband, a man of 15000. Soon she was unanimously elected Queen and she appointed him the Minister of Foreign Affairs. I was born to her personal assistant, and soon became Ministress of Public Relations, working closely with the Minister and the Ministress of Communications and Ministress of Education.

Today, we all prosper and live in harmony, managing this land and enjoying its abundance, as you, too, may.

Wishing you all the happiness, love, and peace your heart desires,
Her Majesty and I join you and wish you success in life.
